My goal for this material was to create a natural looking material, complete with a plethora of custom generators.
I created the base material after I followed Joshua Lynch's Sand tutorial. It was great for learning how to create realistic undulation for a natural material. After I finished his initial tutorial, I wanted to tamper with various parts of the material in order to add more variation and height detail. I then created various plant generators, added new footprint generators, and a shell generator.
Everything was made 100% in Substance Designer.
